Day 1: Kigali city excursion & drive to Volcanoes N.P Ruhengeri region

Enjoy a hefty breakfast back in your booked hotel in Kigali and after, get a warm welcome from your driver guide in Rwanda to the Land of a Thousand Hills. A short briefing about your 3 day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking will be led by your tour leader and after, go for Kigali city excursion which lasts for 2 hours. 

Kigali city excursion includes a visit to Kigali genocide site, craft market, museums and after, break off for lunch. After a leisurely lunch, transfer to the lodge at Volcanoes National Park Ruhengeri.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Ruhengeri & Community visit-Iby’Iwacu Village

Make adequate preparation early enough, have breakfast and after, carry some snacks plus bottled water. Head up to Kinigi to be briefed on Rwanda Gorilla Trekking guidelines by an expert from the park who also will allocate to you a gorilla family from 13 groups in Volcanoes National Park. When it clocks 8:00am, a knowledgeable guide leads you into the bamboo forest to spend about 2-6 hours searching for mountain gorillas. Once they have been located, you will be permitted 1 hour to be with these unique species. 

Walk back after photography and exploring in details about mountain gorillas behaviors. Have ample time to chill, share experiences and later in the evening, go for Iby’Iwacu Village walk/community tour. Return from your African cultural tour in Iby’Iwacu Village to relax and spend a night.

Day 3: Golden monkey Tracking Ruhengeri & depart

After a morning tasty cup of tea/coffee, meet and greet your guide then connect to Kinigi to be briefed on Golden monkey Tracking guidelines. Today, your tour highlight is all about tracking to see golden monkeys in the wild and this will be 2-4 hours search including 1 hour of face to face encounter. Return to check out of the booked lodge and be transferred back to Kigali for departure flight.
