Day 1: Leave Kigali-Rwanda for Akagera National Park (ANP)

Leave Kigali Airport (KGL) for Akagera National Park where you will enjoy the best of Rwanda wildlife safari holiday. You will be driven by an experienced safari guide and you will have a short journey from Kigali to Akagera, about 2 hours and 30 minutes’ drive in a comfortable 4x4 safari car. Arrive at Akagera National Park in the Eastern Province early, have a relaxed evening at the lodge.

Day 2: Guided game drive & Boat cruise on Lake Ihema-Akagera 

Guided game drive in Akagera National Park: Wake up early for a hefty breakfast and vacate your lodge for 2-3 hours guided safari game drive along the designated game trails in Akagera National Park. On your guided game drive, your exposure will revolve around enjoying views of African lions, elephants, black rhinos, giraffes, leopards, varied antelope species, buffaloes, birds to mention but a few. Retreat from your guided game drive in Akagera to be offered lunch at the lodge.

Day 3: Depart Akagera for Kigali to enjoy a city expedition & fly back home

Wake up early and enjoy your last breakfast on your 3 days Akagera National Park Rwanda safari. Leave the lodge for Kigali city tour, expected to last 2 hours but introduces you into Rwanda’s historic Gisozi/Kigali genocide site, craft markets and other sites. After touring Kigali, have lunch and be transferred straight to Kigali Airport (KGL) for your departure flight.
